Photo of Thien-Kieu Lam.

Thien-Kieu Lam has a long list of obsessions, but most of her time is devoted to art, stories, and knitting.

Her art practice comprises mainly of paper-based works exploring perspective, whether physically, as with the pacing and presentation of content via an artist’s book, or conceptually, as with works anchored in history, memory, and interpretation.

She has been designing patterns for hand knitters since 2015, and her designs have been featured in publications such as Pom Pom Quarterly, Twist Collective, and Knit Now.

Kieu grew up and currently resides in southern Louisiana, but she has also called St. Louis, Washington, D.C., and Kagoshima home.
